This maturation process creates a rich, complex whisky with toffee and sherry flavors. It's versatile enough to make an excellent Auchentoshan & Ale, a superb Old Fashioned, or simply enjoyed neat.
In the glass, Three Wood has a rich, golden brown color developed from its time in quality bourbon and sherry barrels. The nose reveals notes of blackcurrant, brown sugar, orange, plum, and raisin. On the palate, it offers flavors of fruit and syrup, hazelnut, cinnamon, lemon, and a butterscotch sweetness that adds complexity. The finish is fresh and fruity, with a long-lasting oaky sweetness, making it a smooth and satisfying whisky.
