Product details
Aumont Shuzo, formerly known as Ichishima Shuzo, boasts a rich legacy dating back to the 1790s in Niigata Prefecture. The brewery is renowned for its commitment to tradition and innovation, notably embracing the employment of female sake makers. In 1975, Kazuko Shiiya became the first woman in Japan to earn a first-grade brewing license, a milestone that inspired the creation of "Wildflowers" Junmai—a tribute to the contributions of women in sake brewing.
Crafted with locally grown Gohyakumangoku rice polished to 65% and pure underground water from the Iide Mountains, Wildflowers Junmai presents a delicate balance of sweetness and acidity. With a low alcohol content of 10% and a sweet profile (SMV -44), it offers vibrant aromas of lychee, apple, and strawberry. Best served chilled, this sake pairs excellently with light seafood dishes, salads, ceviche, and moderately spicy cuisine, making it a versatile choice for various culinary experiences.
