Bardstown Bourbon Company Collaborative Series Goose Island Bourbon County is a unique blend resulting from a collaboration between Bardstown Bourbon Company and Goose Island. This bourbon is aged in barrels that previously housed the Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout, offering a distinct flavor profile.
The bourbon is a blend of 6- and 7-year Kentucky bourbons aged for an additional year in freshly emptied Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout barrels. These barrels were not rinsed, allowing the bourbon to intermingle with the beer residues. The blend also includes a 9-year-old Kentucky bourbon, adding flavors of chocolate malt and dried cherry.
The blend consists of 56% of the 7-year-old bourbon, 26% of the 6-year-old bourbon, and 18% of the 9-year-old bourbon.
- Aroma: Dark chocolate, honey, toasted almond, and vanilla cream.
