Product details
Stradivario, Bava's Barbera Superiore, originates from their premier cru in Cocconato, specifically the south-facing Bricco della Pieve vineyard. This historic vineyard, perched on the gentle slopes surrounding the Romanesque "Madonna della Neve" church, has long been dedicated to cultivating their Barbera vines. Named after the famous violin due to their passion for music, Stradivario has demonstrated remarkable longevity since the 1980s, making it a wine to enjoy now and to cherish for years to come.
Barbera, like all great wines, has its own exceptional crus. In select areas and vineyards where Barbera reaches its peak expression, it earns the title SUPERIORE. Stradivario, with its bold character, is only produced during the finest vintages. It is a long-lasting wine with a potential aging period of at least 15 years, retaining the vibrant color of its varietal. This full-bodied wine boasts an intense ruby red hue with purple hints and harmonious tannins, featuring notes of black cherries, raspberries, candied apples, white pepper, prunes, and blonde tobacco. It can be enjoyed after five years in the bottle and pairs beautifully with the finest Piedmontese cuisine and white truffle.
