Product details
Casas Del Bosque Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva 2019 hails from the Maipo Valley, sourced from vineyards in Isla de Maipo, Hacienda Chada, and Puente Alto, with an average yield of 7 tons per hectare. Following a warm growing season, the grapes were handpicked between March 25th and April 15th, 2019. After destemming and pressing, the grapes underwent fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 32°C (91°F) for two weeks, followed by an extra week of maceration. The wine was then aged for 11 months in French oak barrels (20% new), with a total production of 12,000 cases.
A deep, intense purple hue reveals aromas of cassis and mint, complemented by hints of dried figs and raspberries. Barrel aging imparts subtle notes of vanilla and spice, while ripe, well-integrated tannins provide a dense, concentrated structure. This wine offers impressive length and has the potential to age gracefully for 3 to 5 years. Intense and mature, it is both complex and elegantly balanced.
