Product details
The 2019 vintage of Château Latour-Martillac Pessac-Léognan Blanc faced a series of climatic challenges, making it a technically demanding year. After an early budbreak, a cold and wet spring delayed the flowering, leading to issues like coulure and millerandage, especially in some Merlot plots. A heatwave then took hold in late June, bringing hot and dry conditions in July. Despite these stresses, the vineyard showed resilience, aided by an unexpected rain at the end of July that helped complete veraison. Harvest of the white grapes began on September 3, yielding fruit that was sweet, acidic, and in excellent sanitary condition.
This wine presents a pale yellow hue with golden reflections and an expressive nose of citrus, white flowers, and fresh fruits. On the palate, it opens with a lemony freshness, transitioning to a full, complex, and aromatic profile that is both tasty and refined. The texture is delicate, and the wine shows a harmonious balance, delivering an elegant and satisfying tasting experience.
