Product details
Connetable Talbot, born in the 1960s, is one of the first second wines from the Medoc. Made from younger vines but with the same meticulous care as Château Talbot’s first wine, this Haut-Medoc red embodies a classic Medoc style with elegance and precision. Its fresh, lengthy palate attracts lovers of fine Medoc wines. The grapes are harvested manually, carefully sorted, and then vinified in stainless steel vats, followed by 15 months of aging in barrels, 15% of which are new oak.
The 2020 Château Talbot showcases graphite, lead pencil, and ripe blackcurrant aromas, with a medium to full body. It features notes of smoked tobacco, leather, and dried herbs, reflecting the focused, ripe style of the vintage. With polished tannins, great mid-palate depth, and a balanced finish, this wine has an old-school Bordeaux character, yet remains refined and elegant, making it a standout for collectors.
