Product details
Cask #5790 is one of five single cask releases exclusive to the United States for 2024, distilled in 2016 from a blend of Propino and Concerto barley. Matured for seven years in a single first-fill ex-bourbon barrel, it is bottled at a high proof of 63.7% ABV. Each release is adorned with a woodblock print by the renowned Edo Period artist Kawanabe Kyosai, known for his influential and satirical works. This artistic connection mirrors Ichiro's commitment to producing whiskies of uncompromising quality.
The whisky was fermented for 100 hours in Mizunara oak washbacks and distilled twice using Forsyths copper pot stills. With a limited release of just 188 bottles in the US and presented in a non-chill filtered format, Cask #5790 offers a unique and rare tasting experience, reflecting the meticulous craftsmanship and distinctive character associated with Ichiro's whiskies.
