Rooted in history, Chiyonosono Shared Promise Junmai symbolizes the realization of a long-held dream. After World War II, many sake producers had to rely on alcohol-added futsūshu due to rice shortages. Yet, Chiyonosono's predecessors remained determined to bring back the pure junmai style, using only rice, rice kōji, and water. In 1967, after a bountiful rice harvest, they achieved that goal, marking the occasion with a celebratory toast in red "shuhai" saucers. Today, this sake stands as a tribute to that legacy, continuing to honor the time-honored tradition of junmai brewing.
