Product details
The Clémentin de Château Pape Clément is a wine produced from the vineyards of the Château Pape Clément, Grand Cru Classé de Graves. This is one of the oldest Grands Crus de Bordeaux. The vineyard was established in the thirteenth century by Bertrand de Goth, the youngest of a noble family of the Bordeaux region. Archbishop of Bordeaux, Bertrand de Goth became Pope in 1305, under the name of Clement V. The castle took his name. The vineyard then belonged to the Archdiocese of Bordeaux until the French Revolution. This area can boast itself of having produced wine on the same lands for 7 centuries.
Type: Rubis red with purple hints, deep concentration.
Nose: Black fruit, cassis, blackberries, hint of liquorice and black pepper.
Taste: Very fresh attack, despite his youth already very open with high quality tannins, ripe fruit with finesse, very long finish. Wine with an excellent aging potential.
