The 2002 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a dark garnet color. It has an intense nose of cassis liqueur, dried figs and chocolate. It has a very concentrated attack, a mouthcoating mid-palate and a long finish with a slight tannic grip.
Opulent, broad, full-bodied and more mature than I expected given how this wine showed in its youth, this deep, rich Cabernet Sauvignon is exceptional. However, in this vintage it has to take a back seat to a number of other cuvees.
Atanasio Anejo has been aged for 13 months, and has a remarkable color, aroma, and flavor that people find distinguished and well balanced. Dark copper visual. Wood, dried fruit, pepper and butter on the nose. Wood, vanilla, and Carmel taste.
Etsu double orange is distilled at the Aktia Distillery on Honshu Island. It is macerated for seven days using traditional botanicals with generous amounts bitter orange peel.
The nose shows abundant red fruits, lots of bright cherry along with bramble-berries, such as blackberry, cranberry, mulberry, and framed with hints of mineral/herbal characters such as graphite, cedar, and pencil shavings.
