Product details
Dewazakura Sake Brewery, established in 1892 in Tendo City, Yamagata Prefecture, is renowned for its innovative approach to sake brewing. In 1980, they introduced "Oka" Ginjo, also known as "Cherry Bouquet," a pioneering effort that made ginjo sake accessible to a broader audience and sparked the ginjo boom in Japan. Crafted with precision, this sake uses rice polished to a 50% ratio, achieving a balance between traditional methods and modern tastes.
"Oka" Ginjo presents a delightful bouquet of floral aromas, including cherry blossom, rose water, honeysuckle, and violet, complemented by subtle notes of peach, strawberry, and melon. On the palate, it starts with a light mouthfeel that evolves into a soft and creamy texture, offering flavors of dried fruits and a subtle melon finish. This sake pairs excellently with dishes such as shrimp tempura, steamed clams, salads, assorted vegetables, and sashimi, enhancing the dining experience with its refined profile.
