Distillerie du Peyrat has a long history of distilling Cognacs, with the family’s roots as distillers in the Charentes region dating back to 1705. Initially focused on distilling for larger, well-known brands, owner Jean-Francois Rault eventually chose to create and market his own Cognac, with a unique emphasis on producing Organic Cognacs—an uncommon specialty in the Cognac region. Today, Distillerie du Peyrat is dedicated exclusively to crafting 100% organic Cognacs. Situated in a small village 10 kilometers east of Cognac, near the banks of a river, the distillery is committed to environmentally respectful production methods that capture the true essence of the terroir in their eaux de vie.
