Product details
Famille Perrin's Domaine du Clos des Tourelles Seul Propriétaire 2020 is a distinguished wine hailing from the historic village of Gigondas in France's Southern Rhône Valley. The estate, notable for its picturesque 17th-century Provençal architecture and iconic towers, encompasses a 10-hectare vineyard predominantly planted with Grenache Noir, complemented by Syrah. The vineyard's unique terroir features calcareous soils with a distinctive sandy matrix, contributing to the wine's exceptional character. The 2020 vintage is meticulously crafted, with manual harvesting of whole grape clusters, spontaneous fermentation initiated by indigenous yeasts, and gentle extraction through light punch-downs. Following fermentation, the wine matures for 18 months in oak foudres, enhancing its complexity and depth.
In the glass, this wine exhibits a deep, dense ruby-red hue. The nose reveals an elegant aromatic bouquet with notes of very ripe black fruit. On the palate, the refinement continues with a beautiful structure, richness, and tasty aromas of blueberries and blackberries. A model of elegance with great aging potential. To fully appreciate its complexity, serve this wine at 16°C. It pairs exceptionally well with hearty dishes such as roasted game, grilled lamb, or aged cheeses, where its depth and structure can complement and enhance the rich flavors of the cuisine.
