The Coombsville AVA, Napa Valley’s southernmost region for Cabernet Sauvignon, is home to our estate, one of the first vineyards planted there in 1998. Nestled within the rocky remnants of an ancient caldera, this unique location benefits from volcanic soils and marine breezes from the nearby San Pablo Bay, offering a perfect balance of polish and structure with consistent Napa ripeness. This special corner of Napa allows us to fully express the land as we continue to perfect a modern classic.
The Pact 2021 honors the Faust legend with its beautiful dark blueberry and blackberry aromas layered over crushed-rock minerality, forest notes, and hints of violet. The palate is luxuriously dense with a velvet texture, wrapping blue and black fruit around a bright cherry core spiced with star anise and savory dried tarragon. Silky tannins and generous ripe fruit linger through an endless, vibrant finish, promising a long life ahead for this exquisite Cabernet.
