The latest release of Glenmorangie The Cadboll Estate, aged 15 years, is an exceptionally rich and silky single-estate whisky crafted from barley grown in eight fields on the distillery's estate. This grain-to-glass series celebrates the spirit and flavor of the Highland single malt Scotch whisky’s homeland. The 2007 Cadboll harvest was matured in custom-made casks of select American white oak, air-dried and seasoned with bourbon, designed to enhance Glenmorangie’s soft spirit.
This fourth batch release features a deep gold color and a beautifully aromatic nose with notes of almond, marzipan, honeycomb, melon, pear, and hints of vanilla crème anglaise and mint. With a splash of water, floral notes of jasmine, lavender, rose, mandarin orange, and apricot emerge. The palate is smooth and creamy, bursting with complex flavors of zesty lemon, mandarin orange, menthol, eucalyptus, vanilla, honeycomb, ripe pear, and melon, complemented by sweet spices and butter candy. The finish is full and rich, yet gentle and soothing, with a lingering mentholic note.
