Product details
Established in 1918 in Fukushima Prefecture, Homare Sake Brewery benefits from its location at the foot of Iide Mountain, known for its revered, pure water and the Aizu district's high-quality rice. The brewery was named "Homare" by its founder, Kosaku Karahashi, reflecting his aspiration for the brewery to gain honor and recognition in the Aizu district.
The Homare Junmai Daiginjo is crafted from 50% polished Gohyakumangoku rice, fermented slowly at low temperatures to maintain its freshness. Single-pasteurized and stored at -5°C (32°F), it features a fruity and crisp aroma of apple and pear, with a dry, clean flavor reminiscent of natural spring water. This sake pairs well with grilled fish and chicken, and can be enjoyed at various temperatures: Suzuhie (15°C/59°F), Hanahie (10°C/51°F), or Yukihie (5°C/41°F).
