Product details
Founded in 1804, Honke Matsuura Shuzojo Brewery is the oldest and longest-running brewery in Tokushima Prefecture. The name Narutotai is inspired by the sea bream of the Naruto Strait, known for their strength in swimming against powerful currents, embodying the spirit of perseverance and tradition. This brewery continues to uphold its legacy by crafting sake that reflects the rich culture and natural beauty of the region.
Narutotai Tomoe Junmai Daiginjo captivates with a luxurious fruity aroma of peach, pineapple, and white flowers, leading to a smooth, rounded mouthfeel. The palate reveals a vibrant mix of ripe banana, melon, and mango, finishing quickly with a refreshing lift. Brewed with Tokushima’s original sake rice, Awaichiba Yamadanishiki, milled to 48% and slowly fermented at low temperatures, this sake pairs wonderfully with a range of dishes such as sushi, salmon yuk-hoe, chicken tataki, grilled chicken with herbs, and shrimp tempura, enhancing each bite with its delicate and fruity notes.
