Dukang, as a name, a place, a type of liquor, and a representation of liquor culture, belongs to Luoyang, to Henan, to China, and to the global Chinese community. The liquor named Dukang, originating 5000 years ago, was named after Dukang Village in Luoyang City, where Dukang first created Shaojiu. It is widely known for phrases like "What can dissolve worries but Dukang?" by Wei Wudi Cao Cao, "Dukang can dispel boredom, and Xuan grass can relieve worries" by the Tang Dynasty poet Bai Juyi, and the praise "From now on, Dongpo's house no longer offers sacrifices to Dukang" by the Northern Song Dynasty literary figure Su Shi, which have been widely spread by later generations.
The cellar pits were first constructed in the 1970s. The older generation of Dukang people followed the ancestral teachings, constructing pits and cellars using traditional craftsmanship. Ancient mulberry mud is mixed with liquor lees and poured into the pits after eliminating miscellaneous bacteria. After soaking and fermenting for several months under constant temperature conditions, the liquor produced through this ancestral fermentation process has a rich cellar aroma and a longer aftertaste. The red box edition Jiuzu Dukang 12 Cellar is brewed with a 40-year-old cellar, making the Chinese liquor smooth and mellow the cellar aroma. The flavor is pleasant with a long aftertaste and sweet rice scent.

Water is the foundation of liquor, and the Xuanwu Ancient Spring is the source of the water used in making Du Kang liquor. This spring water contains over 40 trace elements beneficial to human health, such as selenium and strontium. The high-quality water, combined with the unique microbial community in the brewing environment, creates a mellow Du Kang liquor. Du Kang liquor is made from sorghum and wheat, grown in the natural geographical environment of the brewing site. The liquor is brewed using ancient techniques such as "three steaming, three brewing, five leveling, and six methods", the single-grain solid-state fermentation, and traditional techniques like a fork-loaded steamer, old-style steamer, the timing for wine extraction, manual brewing, mixed steaming and burning, and quality selection for wine picking.
Du Kang liquor's brewing is closely related to the invention of Shu wine from empty mulberry leaves and spoiled rice by the wine ancestor Du Kang. The cellar pits cultivated with mulberry mud are conducive to the cultivation and survival of microorganisms, giving Du Kang liquor a unique aroma. Over 600 beneficial microbial communities inhabit the pits, producing nearly a hundred aromatic and flavorful substances, ensuring the richness and sweetness of Du Kang liquor. The base wine is meticulously blended by three national-level masters, and the fine wine undergoes a final transformation in constant-temperature wine cellars, resulting in a mellow, sweet, and elegant liquor.

Du Kang Lime Fizz
50ml Jiuzu Dukang 12 Cellar Red, 20ml fresh lime juice, 15ml elderflower syrup, 100ml soda water, Lime wheel and mint leaves for garnish
In a shaker, combine Jiuzu Dukang 12 Cellar Red, fresh lime juice, and elderflower syrup with ice. Shake well until chilled. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice and top with soda water. Garnish with a lime wheel and a sprig of mint for a refreshing twist.

50毫升 杜康12窖 40年窖龄白酒,20毫升 新鲜青柠汁,15毫升 接骨木花糖浆,100毫升 苏打水,青柠轮和薄荷叶作为装饰
在摇酒壶中加入杜康12窖、新鲜青柠汁和接骨木花糖浆,加入冰块。摇匀至冰凉。将摇好的酒液滤入装满冰块的玻璃杯中,加入苏打水搅拌。用青柠轮和薄荷叶装饰,增添清新的风味。
