Kilchoman Batch Strength Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a bold addition to Kilchoman Distillery’s core range, launched in March 2024. Founded in 2005, Kilchoman is Islay’s only farm distillery, known for its traditional methods and commitment to quality. This expression is matured in a combination of re-charred red wine casks, Oloroso sherry butts, and bourbon barrels. After maturation, a few drops of water are added to achieve a batch strength of 57% ABV, resulting in a whisky that balances raw intensity with delicate finesse.
On the nose, Kilchoman Batch Strength offers aromas of red fruits, fresh cherries, heather blossom, and intense peat smoke.
