Founded in 1843, Kirinzan Shuzo lies beneath the majestic Mt. Kirin in the northern prefecture of Niigata. According to ancient Chinese legends, the kirin is a mythical animal that brings happiness and luck. It was one of the most sought-after Sakes on the wine lists of New York's Masa and Morimoto restaurants.
This beautifully packaged Sake is elegant, dry, clean, smooth, and balanced with medium plus body and great concentration. It exhibits flavors of citrus, peach, mineral, pineapple, and green tea. The finish is soft and long. Pair it with sushi, citrus marinated fish, grilled chicken, or salads.
