Product details
Kitaya Junmai is a premium sake crafted by Kitaya Brewery, a venerable establishment founded during the Bunsei Era (1818–1830) in Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Nestled amidst the natural beauty of the Tsukushi Plains, Kitaya has upheld a legacy of meticulous sake production for over 190 years. The name "Kitaya" embodies the brewery's philosophy of "spreading joy through sake," a tradition initiated by the passionate first owner, Saikichi Kinoshita, who personally undertook the role of brewmaster.
Kitaya Junmai presents a silvery, crystal-clear appearance, emitting aromas of damp slate, apricot skins, and white flowers. On the palate, it offers fresh, spring-like flavors with notes of honeysuckle, other white flowers, and white peach, culminating in a well-balanced experience with a slight bitter almond finish. This medium-dry sake pairs excellently with a variety of dishes, including sushi, sashimi, grilled seafood, and lightly seasoned poultry, enhancing the dining experience with its refined flavor profile.
