Product details
Marc Brédif Chinon Cabernet Franc 2022 is a refined expression of Loire Valley winemaking, crafted under the stewardship of Baron de Ladoucette. The grapes are sourced from vineyards in Savigny-en-Véron, located in the northern part of the Chinon appellation. These vineyards, characterized by gravelly soils and north-south sun exposure, contribute to the wine's distinctive profile. The winemaking process involves de-stalking the grapes, followed by a 15-day fermentation on skins with twice-daily pump-overs. After pressing, the clear juice undergoes malolactic fermentation in vats and is matured in stainless-steel tanks with regular racking to preserve its freshness and aromatic purity.
This bright ruby red wine offers intense, refined, and fruity aromas, featuring nuances of cherry, strawberry, and subtle spicy notes. On the palate, it presents a subtle attack with a fruity, light structure, culminating in a fresh and aromatic finish. With an alcohol content of 12.5%, it is best enjoyed within 5 to 8 years of the vintage. The wine pairs beautifully with dishes such as lamb chops, beef carpaccio, or pheasant, enhancing the dining experience with its elegance and balance.
