This fine Kurayoshi Pure Malt whisky comes from one of Japan’s newest up and coming whisky producers – Matsui. The owner’s of the Kurayoshi distillery have burst onto the scene in 2019 with a number of exciting whiskies, but this non-age-statement Matsui sherry cask expression that is one of the whisky that has been making waves.
This whisky is distinguished by sweet aromas of fruit (grapes, pear) and chocolate with a tangy flavor reminiscent of lemongrass. The overall aroma is balanced and the finish is soft and persistent.
