Moutai liquor has witnessed nearly a hundred years of Chinese history. Under its strong influence, in 2015, the Chinese-American Mayor of San Francisco, Edwin M. Lee, designated November 12th as "Moutai Day" in San Francisco. Announced to the world in the form of a festival, Moutai is bringing glory to the country, showing the great potential of Chinese national brands! To commemorate this grand festival, Moutai Group specially released a commemorative liquor named after Moutai Day.
This commemorative Moutai liquor bottle and box are printed with old photos of the city of San Francisco and medals from the World Exposition, featuring strong commemorative elements. The original intention of the design is to remind Moutai people and their descendants that it has not been easy for Moutai liquor to go global. Its production is extremely limited, with only two color packages available, silver and gold.

The Moutai spirit is made from a mix of locally produced red sorghum (a small grain rich in tannins), wheat, and water. It is 100% organic, without the addition of any artificial additives. The distillate will be kept in big terracotta pots for at least 3 years, enabling the spirit to reach its 155 different aromatic substances, like the aromas of wheat, grain, hazelnut, roasted walnut, various fruits, mint, caramel, chocolate, floral and herbal aspects, and many more.
The Moutai spirit is manually cultivated following the lunar calendar, and the art of production is passed on from generation to generation. Every production cycle takes one year. From the selection of ingredients to the delivery of the finished product, the production cycle takes 5 years, passing through no less than 30 processes and 165 different procedures. Only brandy from the town of Cognac can be labeled Cognac, the same goes for Moutai, which can only be produced in Moutai town. Any attempts to replicate this unique baijiu elsewhere have failed. The environment and ancient methods have created an irreplaceable product!

60 ml Moutai Day In San Francisco, 30 ml Orange Liqueur, 15 ml Lemon Juice, 10 ml Honey Syrup, Ice cubes, Orange twist for garnish
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Add Maotai San Francisco Commemorative Edition, orange liqueur, lemon juice, and honey syrup to the shaker. Shake well until thoroughly chilled. Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist. Enjoy the unique blend of flavors inspired by the spirit of San Francisco and Moutai.
