Product details
Moutai liquor is the oldest known distilled spirit in the world. Moutai, a Chinese grain spirit, is considered China's national treasure. With an alcohol content of 53%, it offers a complex yet pure taste profile, boasting over 150 flavors in a single glass! Moutai is an organic distilled liquor produced in the protected brewing environment of Moutai Town in Guizhou Province, China. Anyone who appreciates exceptional life experiences should taste this premium spirit, savoring and enjoying one of China's oldest and most popular liquors!
Moutai Prince has a fresh, milder, and sweeter aroma than the Flying Fairy and is brewed in the same traditional way as the ‘original’, with a production cycle of 3 years. Prince Liquor has a fresh and sweet aroma of apples and pears, with a smooth taste and endless aftertaste.
Moutai Prince Liquor has a rich aroma of grains, apples, ripe pears, floral notes, black chocolate, and spices. It can be paired with oysters with pepper and lemon, Norwegian wild smoked salmon, Alba truffle risotto; or used to create enticing cocktails.
The Moutai spirit is made from a mix of locally produced red sorghum (a small grain rich in tannins), wheat, and water. It is 100% organic, without the addition of any artificial additives. The distillate will be kept in big terracotta pots for at least 3 years, enabling the spirit to reach its 155 different aromatic substances, like the aromas of wheat, grain, hazelnut, roasted walnut, various fruits, mint, caramel, chocolate, floral and herbal aspects, and many more.
The Moutai spirit is manually cultivated following the lunar calendar, and the art of production is passed on from generation to generation. Every production cycle takes one year. From the selection of ingredients to the delivery of the finished product, the production cycle takes 5 years, passing through no less than 30 processes and 165 different procedures. Only brandy from the town of Cognac can be labeled Cognac, the same goes for Moutai, which can only be produced in Moutai town. Any attempts to replicate this unique baijiu elsewhere have failed. The environment and ancient methods have created an irreplaceable product!
