Product details
Okuizumo Junmai Ginjo is a distinguished sake crafted by Okuizumo Shuzo, a brewery established in 2004 in the Izumo Province of Shimane Prefecture, Japan. This region, steeped in Japanese mythology as the Land of the Gods, provides an ideal environment for sake production, with its abundant local rice cultivation and distinctive water sources. Okuizumo Shuzo utilizes Gohyakumangoku sake brewing rice, meticulously polished to 60%, to create this exceptional Junmai Ginjo.
In the glass, Okuizumo Junmai Ginjo presents a pale straw hue, offering a floral bouquet of honeysuckle, lychee, and melon on the nose. The palate is greeted with a velvety soft texture, delivering soothing orchard fruit flavors complemented by a clean minerality that lingers through the finish. This versatile sake can be enjoyed chilled, at room temperature, or warmed, each temperature revealing different facets of its flavor profile. It pairs excellently with a variety of dishes, including sushi, grilled fare, and even French fries, making it a delightful accompaniment to both traditional Japanese cuisine and more casual fare.
