Merging innovation, meticulous workmanship and unrivalled savoir-faire of both Cognac production and the crafting of luxury leather goods, the house of Hennessy joins forces with Berluti to present a unique limited edition masterpiece in an unexpected celebration of excellent craftsmanship.
For this collaboration, Hennessy selected its most exclusive eaux-de-vie to form the Richard Hennessy blend, named after the iconic house’s founder.
Preserving pioneering techniques that have been passed on through generations, each house maintains an eye for innovation, creativity and finesse. From the precise calligraphic gestures used to inscribe French oak tierçon barrels at Hennessy to the rigorous manual work required to craft exceptional leather accessories – both brands proudly represent the French luxury market with excellence.
Produced in very small quantities, there are only 12 tierçons blended per year – which in turn are carefully selected from the Hennessy’s Founder cellar, containing the brand’s most sacred Cognacs.
Description of the bottle
Standing proud like a historical monument, the bottle was designed by famous architect Daniel Libeskind who pays tribute to founder Richard Hennessy with elegant contours and an engraved script as well as an excerpt from Hennessy’s founding act signed by Richard Hennessy himself. To top it all off, a crystalline geometric stopper seals this liquid gold like a crown jewel.
The exceptional design work doesn’t end there. As thanks to Berluti’s master craftsman, this special edition arrives with a handcrafted attaché case made from Venezia calf leather in a delightful Cognac-coloured hue (of course!). Framing the carafe and its accompanying script signed by Richard Hennessy, the leather case features a central cutout, while an angular sheath sculpts around the bottle’s form with elegance. Tucked inside the case, you’ll also find a custom-made card holder stamped with the Hennessy and Berluti logos. The entire case can be considered as a piece of artwork in its own right – not to mention the contents to be kept inside.
The Richard Hennessy x Berluti carafe is available in a very limited edition of 150 pieces through private sales and at Houses of Hennessy worldwide.
