Ethan's Reserve is a bourbon whiskey from Nashville, Tennessee, crafted from a blend of rye and malted barley along with pure limestone-filtered water and aged in charred American Oak barrels for three years.
Upon tasting, the initial sweetness of caramel and vanilla from the nose gives way to a palate dominated by black pepper, oak, cinnamon, and rye spice, with a slight hint of soapy cereal grain. The finish is long and spicy.
Outstanding richness and sheen to the enormous barley-oak sweetness; again there is a big bourbon-y cut to the cloth with all the liquorice and molassed sugar normally associated; but the barley adds that extra dimension.
