This International Wine Challenge Honjozo Trophy winner has a grassy and herbal nose, with hints of white grapes, blueberry, and mint. This added alcohol brew is at the peak of the smooth sake game as it caresses the palate. It is a round, lush, gentle, juicy, and silky sake that is so flavorful, yet so balanced with notes of mild melon, berry, apple, and juicy pear swirls that harmonize—a great example of an Honjozo that is in tune. Perhaps the low acidity level gives it that stellar texture play. Smaller glasses bring more flavor impact. Larger vessels bring forth more smoothness.
