Product details
Nicknamed “Liquid Gold,” this exceptional Junmai Daiginjo is crafted using Watari Bune rice polished to an impressive 35%, a hallmark of its luxurious quality. Renowned as one of the most prized Junmai Daiginjos in the world, it offers a deep, luscious experience with beautifully balanced fruit flavors, including honeydew melon, peaches, and pineapple. Each sip reveals complex layers of flavor, creating a sake that feels both rich and refreshingly vibrant.
Produced by the esteemed Huchu Homare brewery, founded in 1854 and now managed by 7th-generation brewmaster Takaaki "Taka" Yamauchi, this sake has a rich history. Taka's revival of the once-extinct Watari Bune rice in the early 1990s marked a pivotal moment in the sake world, leading to the creation of this extraordinary line. Best enjoyed slightly chilled, "Liquid Gold" pairs exquisitely with delicate dishes like grilled scallops, sashimi, and sea urchin, enhancing their flavors with its concentrated, juicy notes of honeydew and peach.
