The wine displays purplish-blue hues. The nose is predominantly spicy (pepper, with a hint of scrubland), followed by notes of black fruit (blackcurrant). On the palate, its clean and frank attack is balanced with enveloping tannins.
There is a strong and persuasive marine influence on the nose, suggestions of iodine and seaweed infusing the black fruit that is very well defined and nicely embroidered with the oak.
Offering a pale gold color as well as a blockbuster bouquet of honeyed tangerines, tart apricots, liquid rocks, white flowers, and honeysuckle, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness.
