The 2001 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a ruby-red color. It has an intense nose of cassis, violets and roasting nuts. It has a voluptuous attack, an excellent fruit-laden mid-palate and a long finish with fine grained tannins.
The 2002 Opus One is deep garnet. Showing nuances of dried strawberry, vanilla bean, and mocha in the nose, the wine offers lavish flavors of cassis, black cherry, plum, and espresso.
