Wolfburn Northland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the flagship expression from Wolfburn Distillery, Scotland's northernmost mainland distillery, located in Thurso, Caithness. Established in 2013 near the site of the original 19th-century Wolfburn distillery, the modern facility upholds traditional whisky-making techniques, emphasizing long fermentation and slow, manual distillation processes. Northland is matured in American oak quarter casks that previously held peated whisky from Islay, allowing for greater wood-to-liquid contact and imparting unique characteristics to the spirit.
